A nice, though not as spectacular a session as anticipated, matches guitarists John Abercrombie and Ralph Towner, who also plays piano. Towner's 12-string solos are stronger than his classical ones, which are frequently beautiful but don't make much of an impression contrasted to Abercrombie's more energetic improvisations. The title track's the best cut on the sessions; the others are more decorative than intriguing.
